1,000 hits.

I have reached 1,000 hits on my blog. I think about 900 of them are me checking my blog. I guess if you are not your own biggest fan then who will be? Anyway, I am excited Emily got a big "family" project for school. We take a gingerbread man and turn it into our own special one. Emily wants to make a ballerina. I wish it was not so girly but I see sequins and glitter glue in our future. These are the days I love having girls. I have herd about this project for 3 years now and finally I am in with the cool crowd!! Just kidding. I will post some pictures when we are done.

A flood of memories

A flood of memories comes to me when I look at this outfit. This outfit is about 6 years old, maybe 5 years old. This outfit was Savannah's. If that does not say enough right there I don't know what will. Savannah, Emily, Ashley and now Chloe have all worn the outfit. It is still in really good shape too. It is Gap and it is 18-24months.

Chloe is not happy with me in the pictures she did not like my choice in snacks for her. I also think she put soap in her hair this morning explaining the hair do. Chloe can now climb up the stool in the bathroom and turn on the water. It the soap is near by she can get into that too. She loves tooth paste all of my kids have had this addiction. Not with brushing their teeth just tooth paste.

Sunday funday.

We have been so bad and not going to Church. We will be there next Sunday to help with the babies. When was the last time we went? The last time we had to help. It's hard when Michael is working like crazy to get up and go, the girls just want to spend time with him me too.

Anyway we had a slow start Chloe took an early nap and we headed out I was hungry I wanted to go out for lunch we have not been out in weeks. So we headed up to Franklin to go to Chuy's a "texmex" kind of place. They have great food, and we can get away eating there pretty cheap. We bribed the kids with Chuckie Cheese if they were good. Get this they were good!!! They sat next to each other because here is another fight they always have, who gets to sit next to daddy? They gave us a booth and Emily and Ashley sat together and did not kill each other. The small victories I tell you.

We headed off to Chuck E Cheese, right after I had tokens left over from the last time we went so it did not cost us a dime or a quarter. The best part was we were cashing in and a lady asked if we wanted to dance with chucky and win free tickets. So the girls did, and we got over a 100 free tickets. It was awesome. Ashley wants Chucky to come to her next party she wanted to know if Chucky had a car to drive him self there.

When we got home we hung out rested and got to work. I went to buy food and the girls "helped" slowed down Michael on hanging the Christmas lights. The pictures I posted as hard to see some of the lights but they are there. A neighbor kid came over and said, "you have a lot of lights we only have 26." He is a new kid from down the street.
The house looks good and is very colorful. We love the color lights and we love to bug the neighbors they do not like the color lights!! We are slowly switching everything over to LED. It is much cheaper to run for lights. Michael got 10 boxes for $2 each on BLACK FRIDAY at Home Depot.
I cleaned the house, well the kitchen, moped the floors, and vacuumed the living room and cleaned the couch. It is so gross with crumbs and such.
It was a nice Sunday, Michael has been working so much so it was nice to have him home even if it was only for a day.

Hotsy Potsy gets me everytime.

Went to bed at 2am, woke up at 7:30am. Michael had to work and was out the door pretty quick.
I took the girls to Hotsy Potsy the painting pottery place. The girls all love it Chloe included. Chloe loves to paint, she is already crafty. Chloe painted a Christmas tree, Ashley did a different Christmas tree and a Brciasaurs (dinosaur). Emily did a star for Mrs. Pantall her teacher and a candy cane. We got into the spirit and no lines, no sales, no crazy people. Just the Nimblett clan of girls.

Emily spent the night at Cindy's that night. So Ashley stayed up late and had daddy, momma bonding.

Me and the crazies.

So I went with Nicole and her sister to Toys R Us on Thursday night. They opened at 10pm. I know crazy but I thought it would be fun just to see. There was not really anything I wanted but again thought it would be fun to go. We got there at 10pm and ohh my the line was crazy. It wrapped all over the whole shopping mall area. Did I mention it was raining? It was freezing cold, raining and waiting in line with all the crazies for about an hour. The line moved pretty fast, we people watched and laughed. We got in and started getting everything we wanted.

The line to pay was just as crazy I was thankful that we had to wait inside though to pay. At least we were warm, and did not have to pee anymore. The line snaked through each aile all the way back to the power wheels. If there was anything you missed you saw it as we went through every aile waiting to pay. Going through the baby section was funny because Taylor, Nicole's sister is young and is the youngest and knows not much about babies. We got to scare her about all the "crazy wonderful" things that happen to your body and what your baby will "need" you to do for it. She did not want a boy because of Vaseline on the penis, and being peed on I believe. I said no girls because of places you would have to add creme and other girl drama. After she saw "natural" baby bottle nipples she may never have kids any how.

We waited in line again for about an hour and 15 mins, paid and went home, to bed.

I have been grounded from going out late at night because the next evening Friday night I got sick. Not with a cold from standing in the rain but headache and feeling barfy I need to much sleep and standing waiting in line all night tell 2am is not for this momma.

Nicole kept talking about next year...my response was simple "that is sweet you think I am coming back next year." Love you girl but no. I loved spending a late evening with two girls that made me feel like a dwarf to put it nicely.

There it went

Even on Thanksgiving we jumped right into some Christmas cheer. We made gingerbread houses. All the families made there own. Michael and Ashley teamed up to make a "candy bus." Emily and I made the three bears house. We had lots of fun and the kids ate so much candy. Chloe teamed up with grandma and helped her...well not really lets be honest toting around 27 lbs does not help any body out.

Enjoy the pictures.

So here are some more pictures of Thanksgiving. Cindy and Marvin worked really hard on the hay ride and making some fun things for the kids to do. Tire swings and more.
I love that the girls have all their cousins living close by. The "new cousins" seem to join right in.

Thanksgiving came and went.

So I am listening to Christmas music, its funny how fast Thanksgiving comes and goes. But I guess since there are no presents involved it does not get much "play."

I will post some pictures from Thanksgiving. It was at "the Farm" the kids got a hay ride. The weather was perfect it started to rain right after it got dark. Then the temps dropped.

Lots to be Thankful for on Thanksgiving but the best one was that Michael forgot that Home Depot would be closed on Thanksgiving. He could not get the materials he needed too so he could not work that morning. We made two batches of mashed potatoes, don't ask. Hung out relaxed and headed to the farm.

Thankful for ... Nov. 24

I am thankful that I don't have to cook the turkey tomorrow. I did it once it did not go over well. Well it was fine it just was not done until the guest were all leaving. So everyone got Turkey to go!
Anyway I am thankful that Cindy is cooking the turkey. I am making mashed potatoes, creme cheese celery, pasta salad, spinach artichoke dip. I got the easy stuff. I really only eat turkey and mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving any ways. I like gravy too. Jenny's green bean casserole is good too.
I praying for good weather not warm but not too cold. We are suppose to have a hay ride, hay less I believe and do ginger bread houses out side.
Saying a prayer that everything goes well, if you know me you know what I am talking about.

Thankful for ... Nov. 23

I am thankful for my health and the health of my kids. Also the health of Michael. Although he thinks he has poison ivy or oak right now. Michael always gets weird rashes.
Again I am thankful we have our health I have not had a cold in weeks knock on wood. I will be sick by Monday don't you think now that I said this?

Random Thoughts.

I am feeling depressed about the time change tonight the girls and I are all board. Which makes for a "tense" house with four girls. We are feeling stuck, nights like these I think lets move to Franklin. But I am too cheap to spend the money on a Tuesday night. But also it feels like Friday because the kids have no school for the rest of the week. I don't know how I am going to break it to Ashley that there is NO school. Going to the Jump Zone in the am I hope softens the blow.

I am at a cross roads in my cooking. Our family's belly's are growing in the sense that I need to make more food. But in making more food means more left overs. We don't do left overs we are going to have to work on that!! Tonight I made hamburgers they are small except Michael's but it could go two ways at dinner. Not enough to eat or the girls decide they don't "like it." Then that means there will be left overs that no one will eat. Its so hard to figure out if a 5,3,1 will eat dinner tonight or not.

Another note we are eating dinner late because I could not get motivated. Also I am reading a cheese ball book that I am enjoying reading. It is 5:55pm we should have dinner soon and then get ready for bed. Michael is working late again, so I am looking forward to putting the girls to bed tonight. Chloe could use another nap but I want her to go to bed at 7ish so I will deal with the crankyness because I think we are all a little cranky tonight. huff...

Wish I would have hit up Red Box earlier today. But on the bright side I have wanted to just go out and get food all day lunch first now dinner but I have not we have eaten at home. This is good but I have to go to the grocery store again. Good thing I have help tomorrow afternoon.

Please don't think I am going crazy I am just a mom with three loud girls. I am pretty loud too.

Thankful for ... Nov. 22

Today I am thankful for the weather, Ashley in school, having lunch with Emily and Chloe. Friday's pizza for lunch on Monday and Sonic's Cherry Coke before 10am is $.99.

Silly I know, but its true.

Thankful for ... Nov. 21

My last post was lots of things to be thankful for...

So yesterday, and today I am thankful for my husband. He works to much but he does it for us. So I can get massages, and other fun things. Like pre-school for a crazy 3 year old.

The little things

Sunday was a GREAT day. I think because it was an unexpected great day. Michael deiced not work, can I get an AMEN? We had a slow morning late breakfast, the girls had two breakfasts. Then we went to the walking park, to ride bikes. Well we hit up Target first so we could get Ashley a helmet. She had three choices Buzz Lightyear to match her bike, princess, or dinosaurs. Guess what she choose??
Buzz Light year. I have got to get that girl some Buzz Lightyear undies. Anyway as we were driving off we saw "Zen Massage." Michael said "we should drop you off there." Hmmm I am liking this idea! But I am thinking we should not spend the money, and 3 kids on bikes and you by yourself? "Nooo its okay." But really said "go have fun enjoy." Okay best husband ever moment right there. So I got a massage, Michael got the girls drinks at Sonics and went to ride bikes around the track.
No camera I forgot it. But really Michael chase three kids on bikes and take pictures? Just picture it, its funny. Well, really note to self he "push" Chloe on a trike.
When they came to pick me up they had lots of fun and Ashley is really doing well on riding her bike. Michael finally fixed her training wheels right.

After my massage we went back to the track so the girls could show me their skills. I am so proud we don't spent much time in the front yard anymore. So it was great to watch the girls ride their bikes. Ashley was as fast as Buzz Lightyear. And she kept saying with her fingers to her eyes "keep your eye on the prize, Lucky Charms." I have not decoded where she herd that Emily says its from "Word Girl" a Tv show.

Biked and walked around it was great. The kids had fun Michael and I had fun and the best part was it was FREE.

Michael and I have been working on doing fun free things with the kids. Good on the budget and I think it is good to teach the girls how to have fun with out spending lots of money. Park, biking, spending time at home as a family. These years are starting to fly by, specially that Emily is in school. We want to enjoy this time.

We had a nice dinner at home, and watched a movie as a family the Great Fairy Rescue.

Emily, WOW, MOM

Here is a picture taken by Jenny, the famous one over the summer. But it is cute one of my biggest girl.

this goes along with time...

Spending the whole day with Emily have learned some new things about her. Besides that she is too big for dress up and dolls. (American Girl Dolls still okay.) She can now spell "mom" and "wow." I am impressed to say the least. I feel already that Emily's subjects will be writing, reading and art. Math not so much. She already does not like writing numbers but I think she still gets confused because some numbers are written back wards. (kind of.)

Tonight at dinner she said to me "I can name the oceans, can you?" I replied with "umm, I don't know why don't you say them first?" Okay so having a Kindergartner and I am already feeling stupid. We tried naming some of them, she does not remember all yet.

But she did tell me while we were trying " momma the Artic is sadly forgotten." I laughed but really is the Artic forgotten? Isn't what all this "global warming" hoop-lah is about? The ice caps melting or something?? Any way I won't get started on that subject. Emily then mentioned Australia. She says "they are learning all about the world, right now."

So I always write the funny things that Ashley says but today I had to talk about Emily. This is a time when I am thankful Chloe does not speak yet. Who knows what she will say?
So again I am thankful for the glimpse into my growing up, big girl Emily. She is becoming a young woman. We are working on our manners right now, but we could all use help in that area now and again.

BATH TIME, and nail clipping. I know you are soooo jealous of my life.
P.S. she also told me that a bunch of her clothes she would not wear anymore. Don't worry mom none of the new ones you just bought.

Thankful for ... Nov. 20

Today I am thankful for time. Time with the girls at home. I had a sad moment cleaning helping Emily clean her room today. She first said "momma I think the dress up clothes should go in Ashley's room, most of them don't really fit me anymore." A bit later she said "I don't want the baby dolls in my room anymore either, I don't have time to play any more I am always at school." So sad, yet so true. Emily loves to color and play outside. She has never been a huge "toy player." She does love dress up but she is getting too tall for most of the dress up clothes. I agreed with her on both ideas but now her room seems so empty. I need to find some "big girl" things for her room now to fill it up again. Or make it not so bare!!

So today Michael had to work, I am thankful he had the work but I wish he did not have to go. So I am thankful for the day at home with the girls. We cleaned their rooms, made a huge bag for Goodwill. The only time we left the house tonight was to go meet Michael for lunch at the job. We ate in the car, but we got 15 mins with him in the middle of the day. Ohhh and the best part is all the girls napped when we got home at the same time!!!! I watched some TV, did some dishes, did some laundry, you know the usual mom stuff.

Will see what tomorrow brings another day of us on our own. But I am thankful for a easy Saturday not rushing around to something or another.

The girls are coloring and it is almost time to get dinner started again!!

today was a good day

Today started out rocky but was better. Sitting in the sunshine with friends watching the kids play is always good. A friend said her daughter said "are we going to the park so you can talk to your friends?" Um yes that is why we go to the park are you complaining??? I am happy all the kids can play and the moms all get along too.

Did the dishes again...dish fairy has not shown up at my house. Some laundry, referring and other fun mommy things. And now just made a baby cry. I told her not to bite her sister. Girls got flu shots yesterday and Chloe is way sensitive today.

All in a momma's day of work.

Thankful for ... Nov. 19

I am thankful for sisters. They are sometimes sweet to each other and I have to capture it they are often mean to each other. But they always come back together. Tonight Emily was holding Chloe when she got upset. She did not want me she wanted Emily to hold her. How sweet is that.
We had a play date with Emily's friend Nyah and her sisters. After we got home it was late I ordered pizza. The girls are watching a movie in the second picture and eating popcorn waiting for pizza to arrive.
So I can NOT believe that I have three daughters but I am glad because I know they love each other and they will always be friends!! Well a girl can hope and pray can't she?

The stew is stewing.

Okay so I can never figure out how to load the pictures in the order I want them!!!!

So they are backwards.

Here is my recipe for Stew. Really it is my grandma's who died. My aunt Tricia taught it to me just about 2 years ago. It is so yummy I always remember eat this and chicken legs she made. I know mom NOT the green stuff.

So the recipe is all in my head nothing written down tell now.
Really I guess I tweak parts of it every time because I add what I have when it comes to veggies. Some times it turns into more vegetable soup with meat then a stew.

-I use a dutch oven I got at super buys. Its blue and cute and I love it.
-I put Olive oil and minced garlic and cook. ( I use jar garlic because I am lazy.)
-Then I add the "stew meat" I got to Kroger and buy "stew meat" about a pound of it.
-Cut the meat smaller if needed
-brown the meat add three beef bullion cubes I love that stuff
-keep browning the meat add onion I cut the onion big to pick it out because my family does not like onion but I like the "flavor."
-the more you brown the onion the softer more tender the meat is
-you can add some Worcester sauce also a few sprinkles, some salt and peeper
-start adding your veggies that are cut up.
-celery I do two stalks
-carrots, I do three good size carrots wash them not peeled
(I read some place it is better not to peel carrots, I think they taste bitter but you can't tell after they are cooked.)
-potato's you can leave the skin on or take it off
-I added to night green beans I had some left over that were going to go bad soon.
-added some tomatoes that were going to go bad soon too.
-I have added but did not have tonight zucchini, mushrooms (fresh) not canned. Nothing Canned please. Otherwise it is not my recipe you are making!!!
-ohh there is a rant and then one thing canned a can small can of tomato paste. I rinse in water.
-add water to cover all veggies and let simmer. Covered.
-I cook on low for about 3 hours.
-makes the meat really soft.
Other ideas are no potatoes and do your stew over mashed potatoes. That is good too.
Enjoy!!!

days like this...

I know today is suppose to be wordless Thursday but I have things to say!!! I did one post today wordless but truly I forgot. SO I did my thankful post wordless. I think it is pretty creative.

Any I have lots to say. The girls and I put up our fake Christmas tree upstairs tonight. Well I did they watched. No pictures yet because it is new first time out of the box and it is a little unfluffy yet. I still need to work with it but I love it. The new Kirkland's opened this week I might have to go it and look at decorations.

I had a productive day today. I took a shower this morning, Emily joined me. That girl loves a HOT shower just like her momma. Got the kids all dressed me too. Breakfast, it was easy today cearl, yogurt, blueberries, apples and granola bars. Michael left before bus stop time I so the girls and I walked to the bus stop. We hung out this morning for a bit at home I started unloading the dish washer I hate "doing the dishes" with a passion. When Michael and I first got married we agreed that I would cook he would do the dishes. When we had kids and I did not work anymore it some how became my responsibility too. hump! But ohh well, he does do the dishes when he can, specially when he cooks. Any way off subject.

We headed out about 9am first to drop Ashley back pack to get her name on it. I will post pictures the back pack is huge and looks so funny on her. Then to pick up her shot records, and then off to the library. We met some friends at the library Caden, Blake, Skylar, and Lexi. We played, did story time, crafted, and played again. The kids were getting wild and I was getting hungry so we all headed to McDonald's. The kids played again and we all ate. Shanelle and her son Easton met us there. We had a good time. After lunch we went to church to drop off our operation Christmas Child boxes. Then I headed to Ashley's school to drop off her shots record for school, the rest of her tution I had a different price in my head. Then we headed home.

We hung out for a bit Ashley got into trouble and had to go to her room. She woke Chloe up. I started making my stew, I love stew. But this post is getting so long I will post separate on stew. I cleaned out my cupboards, its trash day of Friday so I gather most of the trash in the house for Michael to take it out to the curb. Stew was cooking got the girls ready to head out again.

So we loaded up waited at the bus stop in the car for Emily. We headed to the doctors office to get flu mist and shots. Waited at the doctors for 1 hour for 2 mist and a shot. They gave the flu mist the girls hate it but not as much as they hate a shot. Then it is Chloe's turn to get a shot!!!! She handled it like a big girl momma is so proud she does not even cry!!! Wooo Hoo. The girls did not want to hear Chloe cry so they left the room they could not believe Chloe did not cry. Headed back home dropped a movie at Redbox. Came home. Girls played fed killer, served up stew. Ate dinner and headed upstairs to build my Christmas tree.

I love it!!! Gave the two how did not take a shower this morning a bath tonight. Pj's played more, hung up clothes. Put Chloe to bed, read a chapter of Felicity to Emily and Ashley. I skipped flash cards tonight. Ohhh well.

Michael got home a bit after I put the girls to bed. Figures, no it is actually easier if he comes home after they are in bed other wise they just get all worked up again. I made Apple bread and banana bread. Now I am blogging. I need to go do the dishes.
Ohh yeah some where in there I did unload the dish washer and re-load and start it again.
Sorry for the total break down of my day, but just a day in the life of ME.

Tomorrow should be less crazy then today but I don't know what I am making for dinner yet. We have park and a playdate in the afternoon. Ohh wait it could be crazy after all. Saturday we will enjoy me and the girls. Michael is really busy at work with the holidays around the corner. Everyone wants their house done.
