Nana is coming, Nana is coming.

So Ashley and my mom share something very special, a birthday. I took caster oil (it induces labor, hopefully) on October 3, hoping to have a baby on October 4th my moms birthday. Sure enough on October 4, 2007 at 7:11pm we, well I had Ashley Grace Lindsey. My mom was in California but she got her greatest birthday present I could ever give her. My mom came later that month for Halloween to meet Ashley.

Any way so Nana is coming on Friday afternoon and the girls (me too) are super excited to see her. Although she was just here, we always love having Nana here. Nana is so awesome because she visits all the time, I am so lucky that my mom uses almost all of her vacation time to come to Nashville. I don't say enough to my mom how lucky I feel that she comes to visit me all the time. Who am I kidding the grand daughters all the time. If Killer could talk he would tell you Nana comes to see him only.
Anyway we have a busy weekend coming up of soccer, birthday parting, chuck e cheesin. Ohh and the Ham Festival. Yes that is right my Cali friends here they have a festival for ham, well not really it is a cute pig on the logo and that is about it. We also have a Mule day festival that last like 4 days, NO JOKE.

So here is Ashley, my funny child who tells Michael today at lunch(he is working down the street) stop talking to mommy and listen to me. Ashley will be 3 on Monday. She is getting so big, but is a funny shape. She would not stand up for a picture but her shirt she is wearing is too short on the tummy and too long on the arms. I love her to death even though I think one of us will die early because of each other. She drives me crazy. She reminds me a lot of my moms, mom grandma Helen. Lord help me there, the best thing Ashley has going for her is she looks just like me!!!

I feel like this post is all over the place so forgive me. But this is how my brain feels most days.

Go to bed Chloe.

So I have posted about Chloe likes to lay on the kitchen floor mat "like a dog." So she did it again yesterday and Ashley went and got her a pillow and blanket. Ashley put her "to bed." Even went and got her a book. The video quailty is not great but it is really sweet, and Chloe even plays a long. Chloe keeps wanting a kiss from Ashley, at least I know I am doing something right when they wants hugs and kisses from each other even at a fake bedtime.
Disclaimer: Chloe has no pants on, she spilled water.

Here are some pictures also. Can I say that this day Chloe slept for a whole hour and maybe 20 mins that day. She is my sleeper, this was awful for me, she spent a LOT of time crying that day with me and in her bed. This video proves she was tired but was not having it. Ugh kids.

Banner Up

Okay so I saw an photography blog a couple of weeks back some one and had made a happy birthday banner for pictures. I am a "crap booker" as my husband calls it more commonly known as a scrapbooker. I saw the banner loved it and thought I can do that. So here is my first attempt at it.
The banner is for Ashley her birthday is Monday her shared party with her friend Hazel is on Saturday. So it is bright and colorful and fun!!! Here is another close up.
It is long, Happy birthday is a lot of letters when you break it down. So the letters are now here I ordered them on line. That was the hardest part I will post more pictures at the party with the banner complete.
Here it is again. I loved making this, this is what gets me through the night after the kids go to bed and Michael of course is working late. I enjoy this. I think it is going to be hung in Ashley's room after.

Yesterday I conplain, today I brag

Here is my smart Chloe. Today, just now before I put her down for her nap she handed me a piece of trash she found on the floor. (I know you are thinking in Michelle's house? Insert sarcasm.) I told her it was trash and she took it back. She walked her cute little self from the office to the kitchen and put the trash in the trash can. She is so smart. Thank God she does not grunt all day anymore, and she does not talk but she sure knows what you are saying to her. She can get her point across, specially when it comes to Oreos. Another vise I know chips, Oreo's the girl has issues. I promise I limit the kids junk food it is not fun to talk about grapes, carrots and strawberries. But yes she can eat all of those whole.
Chloe can shake her head "no" like she did today when she did NOT want a man to hold her. She shakes her head in a bobble fashion for yes for lots of things. Grandpa told me she often says "no" about the horses I did not really believe him, she never says "no," never says anything beside a noise or squeak. But the other day I took something from her she really wanted and she said "NOOO." Who knew she is a girl of few words for now. I am not going to lie I will enjoy it now because soon she will be like her sisters and never SHUT UP. Now I do not tell the girls shut up I say be quite but I am thinking shut up. Specially Ashley boy can that girl talk right now. Yikes it is awful sometimes I just want peace and quite for five minutes. Okay there I go complaining gotta stop. I love them and I am so proud of Chloe how smart she is. I know like Ashley one day she will open her mouth and full sentence will come out and she will never STOP. Chloe you will be 16 months in a week or so.

Chloe, Chloe, Chloe.

Ohh sweet Chloe, stop bitting your sisters. Here is a picture of what Chloe did to Ashley at grandma's house today. In Chloe's defense she is still little can't talk and can NOT defend herself. So she bites her sisters when they do things she does not like. She bit Ashley earlier today too when she stuck her thumb in her mouth. Helloooo, don't stick your fingers in her mouth how many times do I have to tell you. Chloe bit Emily on the check a few months back so this is nothing new.
Ashley did push Chloe down the stairs last night on accident so I guess this is just payback. Emily was a biter, and Ashley only bit Emily, and now Chloe she has anger. She bites all the time, I was a biter too. Ohh well this too shall pass, right? I thought I would share here is a low in our day.

Pumpkin Sunday

A women that I have met in the last few months also makes clothes. I had her make me some pants for Chloe. She made these cute fall, vintage pumpkin pants for Chloe.
This is the best I could do, Dori for pictures Chloe see me with the camera and she starts running. I love telling people I surround my self with creative people. I enjoy hanging out with Dori and our mutual friends and the kids. Dori like my friend Nicole has a amazing talent. I love the fabrics she uses. there is another outfit she made Chloe and in the next few days she will wear it and I will post pictures. Chloe looked so cute going to church in her pumpkin pants. Love them.

Ture picture day.

Coach came in from a flight to catch the game. He was "flying low" to get to the game quick. But here it is true picture day fashion, HOT. Look at Ashley she has her shirt up all the other moms were telling her to put her shirt down...I don't care. So we started the game.

Here is Ashley and her soccer "picture." She was not into it but really this could be Ashley's first and last season of soccer. She is not "team" person it seems. I won't post pictures of the game but I can say that coach Jesse is a good coach because he has no problem "man handling" Ashley to get her to play. Coach JV, Hazel's daddy also had to run along with Ashley. Ohh my heavens, we are blessed with wonderful male role models for our girls. I truly am blessed. Ashley loves seeing coach Jesse at church on Sunday mornings. Let me say that coach Jesse has a daughter and his wife calls her self a girly, girl. Coach Jesse knows how to work the little girls he always comments on how cute they are and how cute they dress. He does know the way to a little girls heart. Hazel and Ashley eat it up!!

Picture day ugh!

Okay so I hate picture day for soccer. It is always HOT. This year it was cool in the morning for Emily's pictures. But it would not be picture day with out a little meltdown because we decided not buy the pictures. For two kids pictures it would be like $50 bucks, no thank you. I stood to the side and took some group pictures. The picture of Emily's back #8 is her throwing a fit or at least crying and not wanting me to see. She was so mad. The picture of Emily sitting on her ball with her legs all over I thought made a great soccer picture for Emily because this is how she likes to sit in the middle of the game or practice. So first game is down, and pictures done before it got hot. It was awesome, I must have jinxed myself because once we drove to Ashley's field it was getting HOT and quick. Uhg, next post.

So my friend Nicole, I often mention her has started making clothes on the side to the public. She is great at what she does. Her line is called Purple Finch, and she does up-cycle clothing as well as unique fabric design. She does an awesome job and they are affordable. You can email her at Purplefinch1@hotmail.com she can do custom.
She has been making Chloe "fat pants." Chloe is 15 months old and has some thighs on her, it hard to find pants. I can sew a straight line and that is about it I can make patch work quilts not very good but I can. So I love having Nicole make things for the girls, she has a servants heart. The funny thing is Chloe loves the pants Nicole makes her, she gets mad when I take them off. The pair pictured is what Chloe is wearing today a birdie fabric that I had in my closet for years now. I added the balls on the end I have add something. Chloe loves them she can move freely in these pants.

Thank you Nicole for all your hard work on my child's fat pants. You and your family are awesome wonderful people. Her husband is Emily's soccer coach. I think you are the bees knees. Look up Purple Finch on Facebook too.

Ohhh Ashley

Ohh Ashley, yesterday we had to go shopping. Up in Franklin, we were meeting Nicole with Hazel. She would not let it go. She really wanted to pick up Hazel. Ashley holds on tight to anything, if you tell her something she does NOT forget all day. She gets that from her father.
In the car that day Ashley discovered that "there is hair all over me." This is hard for Ashley she HATES hair. She found hair on her arms and she was not impressed. I told her it was okay everyone has hair. Ashley is wild and crazy and into everything. She is a going, going, going girl. She is very difrent then Emily she gave up naps a long time ago and can stay awake in the car with out one. Emily could still fall asleep in the car, she gets that from me. As I type this Ashley was yelling at me about her boo boo on her knee that she got this morning from tripping over Killer, the dog at the bus stop. She does not look down at all when she walks. Ashley's t-shirt in this picture is from today and it says " i rule." Yes she does I try not to let her it is a battle of wills most days. But I thought the t-shirt was a true depiction of her personality and it is PINK!!!
I took Ashley and Emily to the dentist yesterday and lady there said ohhh my could she look anymore like you?? I know she is my mini me this is pay back for all the sleepless nights I gave my parents. I slept two hours a day until Kindergarten. Needless to say Ashley freaked out at the dentist so will try again in 6 months.
Ashley we love you so very much, mommy just wishes you would take a nap some days. Please Lord let it be today.

Sisterly LOVE

This is a picture for the other day I was cleaning and Ashley and Chloe sat in this old box for at least 20 mins together watching TV. I love that their relationship is building right now while Emily is at school all day. Ashley is beginning to count on Chloe. Notice Ashley's boxer briefs hanging out of her shorts?

Watching the girls when they are getting a long makes me smile. I love to watch them all play together. Chloe is now 15 months and is all in on the action. She is a little slow on her feet but she keeps up and lets her opinions be known.
I sometimes say I wish I had a son, I have three daddies girls. But deep down I am glad that I have three daughters, God has truly blessed Michael and I. I was an only child growing up and I never wanted a sibling I enjoyed being an only child. I was really good at being a spoiled only child, my parents were always good about letting me bring a friend with me.

My girls will I am sure want to bring friends with them sometimes but they have two built in best friends with them at all times. I know now that if my parents had, had another child I would have wanted a sister. They come with lots of fighting but lots of love and joy too. Watching the girls together last night was so sweet. They played so well together. Then when it came to bath time Emily wanted to take a bath with her sisters, not shower by herself. They truly love each other, I can't wait (ohh wait I can) to watch them grow up in beautiful young women and watch their relationship with each other grow. I pray they are always best friends for ever!!

Just an average Tuesday...

I do not have average days with three girls. Today started out good well from the bus stop on, went to the park had lots of friends there to meet us so nice. I love that the moms all like each other and the kids play well too. Then off and running to dance class. Chloe is all over the place at dance class bugging all the mamas. I am so thankful to have a down to earth group of women who just sit and hang out during dance class. I don't even know all their names but it is nice. Ashley really enjoys dance class and so do I.

We went to Hotsy Posty the last time my mom was here and just now picked the stuff up. Ashley loved her shark that she painted. Chloe was so done and tired. Picked up the great Fairy rescue the new tinker bell movie, the girls are watching it NOW while I blog. Got home re-dressed Ashley, fed Ashley put Chloe down for a nap. Sat for a moment and Emily walked in the door. Ahhhh last Tuesday she got off the bus at 12:30 this time she walked it the house at 12:25. Anyways she always ask to walk home by herself, well not really just with the other kids. This time she said she was sad I was not there. I can't win for loosing I tell you. Needless to say I am not okay with her walking home with out me. HELLOOO the girls and I love walking to the bus stop. So this were I am at in my day TV time. Then I have my first elementary parent teacher conference. I am so excited. I have to remember Emily's Apple too in fact I am going now to put it in the car.

Ohh last thing Ashley told me I am her best friend. Doesn't that warm your heart?

Another mile stone for Chloe

Chloe sitting at the table for the first time Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010.
She sat with Ashley in a big two seater chair.
Chloe has been really hard to work with at dinner time lately. She has not wanted to sit to eat and that is strange because Chloe loves to EAT!!! So we tried putting her at the table and she was so happy. This is another big milestone that my baby is growing up too fast. You are 15 months old and are happy eating at the table. What a big girl.

Rounding out the weekend.

Apples this is the end source of Emily's "family" project at school. Emily and I made it together It is a silver spider made from a apple, a Styrofoam ball, pipe cleaners. I am pretty proud of us.
Here is Ashley's spider because if your kids are anything like mine if one is doing it the others have to do it too. Ashley also made a spider she ditched the apple after painting it. She still wanted to eat the apple even after painting.
Emily cleaning up the glitter mess, this is not a normal sight in my house but Michael had just moped the floors. I was so thankful to him for mopping all the floors this weekend.
Ashley working on her project.
Emily gluing the glitter on the pipe cleaners for her spider my idea not hers. She went for it.
I was so happy that Emily went outside of the "girly" box and wanted a spider. Other girls in her class choose "rockstar barbie" and "lady bugs." There is nothing wrong with that but I love that my girls are girly and tomboys at the same time. Emily can do anything in a dress!! Emily is proud of her spider she named him "silvery" so unique!! We went to church and spent the day at home it was nice to do NOTHING for the day!!

Chloe lays here

This is Chloe's spot, she is like a dog as in she has a spot that she likes to sit and lay. It is sad, this is location to watch me and cry when I cook food or clean.
She also lays down here, like a dog. She is ready to take a nap I think this was less then an hour after she woke up in the morning. Michael was so kind to mop the floors on Sunday so at least her spot is clean and I washed the mat so it is clean too. It is kind of sad isn't?

Photobucket

Now for the end of the day.

Michael went on to his parents house with the kids and met his brother and his two sons there. They played the rest of the afternoon there. Here is a picture of Isreal, Emily and Ashley playing together in the old wood shed.
Here is Caleb, Caleb is Isreal's brother and Caleb likes to do his "own thing." He is sooo cute and loves Doritos and Popsicles are the way to his heart!
Here is Emily with Isreal, they are 13days apart. If Emily could have her way she would marry Isreal today!! No kissing cousins around here. We have to keep a close eye on them.
Michael said it was super hot Ashley looks hot. They kind of remind me of the lost boys from Peter Pan in this shot, except more girls less boys. "I am following the leader, the leader..."
Any way they played there tell 3:30ish, then came home. Lea and I made it back to my house by 4:30 the kids were all passed out. It back fired when Ashley was up until 11:30pm. That girl can NOT nap anymore!!!! Again thank you Michael!!!
