Time for Tea

Chloe is wearing a cute t-shirt today too. It says time for tea. We are big on tea here, well really just tea parties. It has a Yorkie smaller then Killer wearing a crown in a tea pot. Chloe really likes the shirt. I do too. I thought I would share it with you.

BATMAN!!

Emily was not sure about the batman shirt with a heart. She said it doesn't say I love batman does it? No, that is what momma shirt says. (Yes, Lea I bought the shirt. Since I lost my other batman shirt.) Chloe got superman, Ashley has Batman because of her boyfriend Blake. That is why I have a batman shirt too. We all love Blake the cute red head you find on here sometimes. We love Caden too(his brother) but just something about that Blake. I think it is the red hair and that smile.

Anyway so here is all of our super hero shirts. Michael has a batman shirt too. I told him I think we should all wear them to Disneyland together. Will see if he goes for it.

Forgetful

So I left my camera places a lot to forget to take pictures. So I got no pictures of my grandparents with the Chloe, ugh, I got no pictures of my dad with Chloe. Double ugh. But oh well the good news is we go back out in like 4 weeks. Crazy I know and Chloe will not be happy to see another airplane I am sure. At least her sisters will be with her and her dad too.

Can I say on the ride home the President was coming into LA and it was awful our plane was delayed, we stayed longer. Chloe was tired. Chloe is a good girl and was good but she was tired. I got to see Air Force One as we took off witch was pretty cool because how often would I see that ever. I finally got Chloe to nap after we took off from Arizona to Tennessee. Yes we had a lay over. So these are some pictures of Chloe being a nudest in CA. I guess she was cozy and comfortable at Nana's house.

April Maddness

So I know there is something called March Madness for some sort of basketball thing. But I feel like in this Lindsey house it has been April madness. Did I mention that Ashley had strep while Chloe and I were in CA? Talk about feeling helpless for my baby girl. I know, and knew that Cindy and Michael were taking good care of her and I needed to be in Cali with my mom but ugh.

Nana is doing well. I have talked to her everyday, in fact we are planning her trip out here next month for the girls ballet recitals. I am so happy that my momma is healthy enough to come. So I snuck a picture of her in the hospital that first day I promised no Facebook just the blog... My mom was foggy and drowsy and as her friend said "loving her button." The morphine button that is. But that next morning when I came to pick her up it was a huge, vast improvement. She already looked 100% better.

I am so happy that when I left the next day she had friends who all came to see her. Everyone was bring her food. She even had to say please STOP!! She got lots of flowers too while I was there. I hate that it was such a short visit but glad she is coming to stay with us for at least a week in MAY!!

So here are a few pictures from the plane ride out and waiting at the hospital. I had sooo much to carry with carry-ons, Chloe and luggage I did not bring the big camera so sorry if the pictures are poor quality. But I am sure my mom does not mind.

My just one thing...

So I am back I have been back for like 5 days or something. But we have been Crazy!! Crazy, busy. Friday we had birthday party, Saturday we had soccer and about 20 mins to get to a party, lucky the birthday girl was later then us. Saturday afternoon was yard work, mowing meat rubbing and marinating for Sunday. Sunday was lots of fun, and went off with out a hitch. Michael said his ribs were tuff but I think they were fine.
Monday was another day off and running around. We needed food in the house, I hate when the kids are hungry. So I ran errands all morning, came home sat down for about 5 minutes Cindy came to watch Chloe sleep so I could go to art class with Emily. It is a crazy life I tell you. We also went strawberry picking on Monday afternoon with some of our favorite people.

So with that compact recap. I will say my one thing is resting hanging out at home. Beside squeezing in ballet, and the bank. I already took Emily to school, its raining, she been sleeping late. I woke her up this morning I told her time to get up and she said why? Umm because its a school day!!! Duh, I did not really say Duh, but Ashley will say it too you. Special I know.

So I will pick up a bit, I may not do the dishes, because I have stayed on top of everything else. I ran the dish washer yesterday but the sink is already full again. Ohh Emily has a friend from school coming over to play this afternoon, too. SO really how much rest will I get? Not much I know but I will try and act like I am and at least I will be at home.

Also I will update pictures and trip later this week. My mom is doing really good. Thanks for asking.

Leaving on a jet plane...

So it is Monday I have been working on getting everything all done all week long for today. I am ready to go this is why I am working on my blog while Chloe sleeps. I just have to load my bags into the car. Chloe and I went and to a Easter egg hunt at Ashley's school this morning. It was very cute, Ashley had to find all the number #6 eggs. Blake, Ashley's friend had to find all the number 10 eggs. Chloe and I helped them hunt.

Who thought of this coloring eggs? It is messy and smelly. In years past it has always worked out that Cindy has always done that with them. We may have to revert back to those day next year. I really need to figure out away to work with the girls on the true meaning of Easter not just about eggs and bunnies! Um and how did it work out with eggs and bunnies, bunnies don't lay eggs.

Can I tell you I have also been incubating some eggs and being a mother hen it is hard work. I have to rotate these eggs 3 times a day and check their temperature.

Anyway so that is the end of our weekend.

Coloring eggs part 1

Sunday did not work out much better then Saturday but for different reasons. Girls actually did really great but our computer, ipad, and ipod do not like each other. We spent over 3 hours on the phone with apple trying to figure out how to down load a movie. Holly moly it was crazy. No such luck still does not work but we have apple engineers looking into it. Curse the day I decide I liked technology. I have change my mind again. Anyway weather was way better so the kids played out side A LOT. Which was good, nice, lots of vitamin D.

Chloe is wearing a super cute skirt made by Purple Finch. We both love it!! The girls had fun dying Easter eggs I had to do something to redeem the awful day we were having with the computers. Got lots of stuff done too for leaving on my trip, in less then 5 hours.

Singing or shouting

So let me start by saying Ashley told me to sit in the way back so I could hear her shout. We sat about half way back. We could hear her shouting I promise. Also so I did record it but it did not work some how. Ugh, I don't know. Anyway, We were really to far any how to get good video, I am sure.

Ashley did really well considering she picked a boo boo and her finger was bleed all over and Mrs. Kara one of her teachers had to go run and get her a band-aid. I swear pre-school teaching is for SAINTS. They all got to wear really cute t-shirts, that they got to keep.

I had to throw in a picture of Chloe being cute. Made the girls night that grandma and grandpa could come too. Also can I tell you some one said "Ashley is a good singer..." They must be deaf because really she is a GREAT shouter.

Highlight of Satuday

We did not have a great Saturday, due to whinny kids and it being cold. Now remember I said I was done being cold, plus the fact that it is 90 degrees one day and 52 and windy the next. Makes me not happy. So we went and had dinner and after dinner went to TJMaxx, and we all tried on these hats except Michael, and no I did not take a picture of my self in the hat. But this was a funny momment in our day. We did an Easter egg hunt in early afternoon, we lost Emily did not get many eggs and again freezed our butts off.

Just one thing...

So I have become a blog reader I really like reading other people's blogs. There is one I read the other day this woman has 4 kids... I think. Her husband have worked out just one thing... She has to do just one thing a day. I guess just one thing besides all the everyday things like feeding kids and husbands oh and your self. So I have been trying to do this modo too. Can I say it has really helped and it has led me to do more then just that one thing. Today for example it is 9:33 my house looks like a war zone, its Friday. Remember I leave Monday afternoon. So I have a lot of just one things. But I am taking it one thing at a time.

I have done the dishes, unload dish washer, re-load, start dish washer, washed pans, started a load of laundry yes I know it is not my normal day but I am trying to be done with laundry by Sunday. I swept and mopped the laundry room this has needed to be done for many, many, many weeks. Cleaned the dogs water, wiped down the table and island. The girls are playing play-doh. This is how I have gotten so much done. I have to goto the Chiropractor soon too. So before noon I will have so much more then my "one thing" marked off my list.

Now I will say the afternoon I do loose drive, and yesterday was not so great. But, I did cook dinner, get my hair done, go to soccer practice, go to the bank, not in that order.

So after lunch and during nap time, movie for Ashley and mopping the floor. Have to get all the play doh off the floor. Not saying this will last forever not saying you will even ever know my house was clean I do live with 4 tornado's and a dog. There are always shoes and toys all over.

Time to BRAG.

Close up of tile floor in their basement. This is from a previous job at their home. Every single tile had to be cut for this floor. Here is a loonnnggg look at the hallway. This what he has been doing this time. Doing all the rock for the fire place. With built in cubby hole for all the electronics for the tv. Great idea. This is there master bed room. Michael installed hard wood floor all down stairs in their basement. They are the lock together kind. Re did all the base. This house had some flood damage from the may flood. Luckily they just had concrete floors before. Here is the french doors Michael put into the home. They need wheelchair access for one of their kids. Now he can come down stairs by him self with little help. So Michael does not get mentioned a lot on his own. I like to keep a lot of that more private. More husband and wife mushy stuff. But Michael has been super busy the past couple of weeks. He has been working hard and it really does make me proud. I am amazed at the wonderful things he can do. Some times a bit jealous that we can't always afford to do those things in our own home. Micheal is truly blessed with a gift. This is some of the work he has done in one family's home. This family has been very kind to Michael, they have bought the girls cookies to send home. Every time Michael works in their basement a storm comes or a tornado, glad my husband is safe where he is working.
