Happy Birthday to you, you live in a ZOO!

Serious I felt like I lived in a Zoo today. We had are usual bunch of crazy kids, plus some school friends of Emily. It was good fun. The kids had a great time together I love that all the moms and kids get along so well.

But I am getting ahead of myself. Chloe slept in tell 6:30 witch means I did too. I had a hard time sleeping... I was excited and I guess it was to remind me what it was like 6 years ago. I had Emily at 1am, I did not get good sleep that night either.

This morning Emily got cinamon toast for breakfast and opened her presents from Mom, dad, and sisters. She also opened Nana's presents too. There is also some party prep pictures sprinkled in too.

Mom, Emily and the girls loved the Phineas and Ferb action figures and so did all the other kids at the party. The American girl case was also a hit!

Ashley was crazy this afternoon. That was the biggest reason I felt like I lived in a ZOO. An artsy Zoo, with all the loot Emily got!

FIVE

I can't believe in just a couple of hours well really about 13 hours we will be in full party mode I am excited. Emily is really excited as I slowly set up. I have everything laid out ready to decorate after she goes to bed. Somethings have to be a surprise. We had a great pre-birthday with my aunt Tricia and cousin Jamie and Baby Hailey. We had lunch and went swimming and ate cup cakes. Emily got a slap bracelet for her birthday from my aunt. It is full of silver sequins, very fancy.

I have everyone's Hello Kitty outfits ready for the party in the morning. Except Michael I don't think they have Hello Kitty for men. Emily got a package from my mom today with a crazy, sparkly, beautiful dress. Brown grandpa (my dad) sent a card, also. I love birthday's but I think this might be Emily's last for a while. But I think I always say that. Looking forward to some hard parting in the morning. And post partying all weekend with daddy!!

I still need to bake, and mop floors tonight after little feet go to bed...

Beige is the new GREEN!

Here is dinner tonight. Nicole's famous recipe, I change the veggies all the time. Tonight... carrot shavings, broccoli, tomatoes, spinach and noodles. Also sausage all the veggies plus sausage. But I think this meal matches my kitchen perfect!!! We painted. Think of the walls as the noodles and add all the color. Not really orange... Well there is a bit of orange in the roosters around the kitchen.

Here is what it looks like now. Pretty much the same just new paint it is called Tumbleweed. I love it. More neutral then the Celery that was previous.
See red and a bit of orange too?
Here is a good picture of the wall color. No black in the dinner I did not burn it!! Thank GOD!

Emily's birthday is t-minus 1 day and two nights that is why the house looks cleaner then usual trying to make less work for myself the night before!

Emily being Silly.

Here is Emily being silly, last night with Ashley. In three days she will be 6! I put Chloe to bed early because she was sleepy and let the big girls stay up a bit later. They had fun jumping with daddy on the trampoline. This was after I did not get out there fast enough to take pictures of them jumping I was enjoying the quite inside the house.

Why is it?

Why does it work out this way? I am a planner but I guess I plan in the small picture not in the big picture. I need a giant wall calendar so I can see the whole summer. I get beat, last month we did California end of May and a week and half later was Chloe's party. I scrambled to get it all done. I know it was fun and Chloe does not care but I want it to be special.

This month July, we had VBS last week crazy week. Even took off Wednesday to rest since we were not sure if Ashley was getting sick. But now it is Emily's birthday week. Again I feel like I am scrambling to have it all come together. I know no one will care besides me. And Emily will be happy no matter what that her friends are over.

The girls are with grandma today witch helped a lot because I got most of the food for Thursday. I took some time for myself and got my toes done. Grandpa and grandma took all three girls to the Amish. They are going to need a nap when they get home grandma and grandpa that is not the girls.

It kinda feels weird not having all three of them, plus the dog is gone too. He is getting his hair done too. I need to go to the bank. And clean the kitchen. I won't really clean, clean the house tell later this week. Aunt Tricia and cousin Jamie with baby Hailey are coming over Wednesday afternoon too. Busy week and an even busier weekend we are going Canoing for Emily's birthday with dad and friends and family her choice.

Something funny.

So I have to share a funny story. Please don't take it as me being racist. We are not I promise. I am trying hard to explain to my kids about different cultures and people. And different languages. Michael said I needed to write this down.

Emily is my passionate, serious one, she is not always "funny." (Creative yes.) She was not trying to be funny but I nearly died laughing. I hope I can convey it well.

So one day Ashley asked "where is daddy?" I replied "working." Emily wanted to know a location? Ashley started guessing... (Now Ashley is funny and silly.) Ashley guessed "the nail salon, painting nails." I said "no, daddy is not painting nails." Emily replied "besides daddy does not even know Spanish." Now we all know that Vietnamese work at nail salons, and if you did not know that they do in Spring Hill, TN. Emily thinks if you speak another language it is Spanish. I am trying to get her to see that there is more out there.

I hope you found it as funny as I did.

Teeth

So Emily is on the verge of loosing her first tooth. It is getting very wiggly all four teeth on the bottom are getting wiggly. I told Michael we are going to have to has some tooth fairy cash on hand. What is the going rate for teeth these days?
Emily was the only kid in her Kindergarten class who had not lost a tooth yet. I am excited for her but I hate the whole teeth thing, it's gross. I will keep you guys posted as of now I think the one tooth is growing up under the other tooth because she says it makes a knocking sound when she wiggles it. I think it is knocking on the tooth below. My baby, my largest, oldest baby will be six in 8 days!!
