Snow basket

So the high for today is 30 degrees. We are waiting on pins and needles for the snow to start falling. The weather man with all his knowledge, sense my sarcasm, says we should get 3-6" of snow by morning. Of course we will get snow because Ashley is suppose to have school on Monday. I pay good money for her teachers to have paid days off. I really like the teachers but hating the weather.

Any way my kids love to play in the snow for 2.5 seconds at a time. So I gathered a basket of snow gear. It is in my room, they can put on what they want and go play in the snow and then be done. And this is usually a defrost and repeat through out the day. The snow basket has given me less need to "help" find all of their snow paraphernalia. Just as long as Chloe decides she does not want to go out for even less then 2.5 seconds if that is possible.

So on this eve of the first snow blizzard of 2011, we wait. Hit up the grocery store earlier today. Went to McDonald's to let the kids have some fun before we are trapped for days or weeks... Winter days like this make me long for the warm weather of southern California when I thought it was cold at 60 degrees. Not like now when the sun is out and 45 degrees I turn on the air!!

Anyway I am going to embrace tomorrows snow day and try and enjoy the time with the girls. Michael has to work so we can keep the heat on for the blizzard. Another thought can't wait to see this months gas bill!! Yikes. Keep warm and for you Californians catch some sun rays for me. I may have to hit up the tanning salon for the first time since my wedding just to make me feel better.
