Wisdom

So I have a friend who has a wide range of kids, all girls I look up to her a lot her kids are all good, and smart. She said once they are all in school that is when it gets HARD. That is when the work starts. After yesterday and Valentines day parties I agree. I am lucky I have help, my mother-in-law watched Chloe while I did all this running around yesterday if I had to take Chloe with me it would have never happened.

Ashley's party started at 11:30, I got there early to help set up and I was kind of worried I was going to leave the party early to make it to Emily's but timing was perfect.

Ashley's party was a fun ice creme party, I am so happy that Ashley is at the school she is in she loves it there. She has lots of friends there and her teacher are very nice also. She was so excited for her party today.

I had enough time in between the two parties to drop something off to Ashley's little friend Hart who is sick and grab something to eat and head back to the next party at Emily's school.

Emily had her Sock Hop yesterday, it was so cute she danced with boys. Her new cousin Alex, and some of the boys in her class. I am thankful Emily understands no boyfriends, and danced with many boys not just one. She also danced with many of the girls in her class. Her BFF Nyah was out sick, so that was a bit sad but she still had a fun time.

Now mind you we are cutting it close on time from the dance to when Ashley is done with school. Now I have another sweet friend who would have picked Ashley up from school, but I wanted Emily to stay all day at school she has missed too many day of school with all the snow days. So I use Ashley as an excuse to sneak out early. So Mind you this was only about 2 hours of my life but it was a full two hours and I was tired afterwards.

The kids had fun and I enjoy watching them interact with their friends. I am blessed to be a stay at home mom and enjoy my kids school events with them.

Apples to Oranges

Chloe just turned 20 months.
I often think of Ashley at 20 months old. And compare, I know they are so different, they are different kids, they look so different. I think I feel a guilt about having Chloe so soon, but Ashley has never known different and never will.

Chloe and Ashley are 20 months old and 6 days a part. Chloe is um twice the size of Ashley. Chloe has light brown hair and blue eyes and fair skin. Ashley has black hair and brown eyes and dark skin. In fact if often when I take the two of them out together with out Emily I get asked if they really are sisters?? Yes and they even have the same dad. Emily kind of ties the three of them together. Emily has light brown hair, dark brown eyes, medium skin. In a lot of ways Ashley is the odd one out and Chloe and Emily are the same in a lot of ways looks, size, and shape.

Okay so the picture of Ashley she is wearing that outfit at 20 months old, Chloe is 20 months old now and it is too small for her. She wore that outfit last summer when she was about 12-16 months old.

Chloe does not talk much, although she is starting to mimic I told Ashley to get some toilet paper this morning and Chloe yelled out toilet, its like she has turrets. Not really but she is starting to yell out random words when some one else does. She will yell out Emily some times. She loves to sign with the radio, not like you could really understand what she is saying but she keeps the beat.

Chloe rode the pink Radio flyer scooter yesterday and did pretty good on it. Good hand and eye coordination but she can NOT talk still. She is just now at 20 months starting to get adventures, Ashley was adventures at 10 months when she started walking. Ashley is Emily's little shadow, from that day forward. Chloe is more independent in playing, she will play by herself, she loves to be a princess, dress up play with babies. Ashley likes boy things, Dino's, toy story, snakes, and getting dirty.
This post is kind of all over the place I have been thinking about it a lot these past couple of weeks. I love them both the same, just in different ways.

One way they are the same...SLEEP Chloe will be done with naps very soon. Emily napped tell like 3.

Tonight, Friday Feb. 11th

Today we went to Sodium its this new all ages place for kids and people. It is really quite neat. The kids had fun we stayed tell about 12:30. Chloe fell asleep on the way home. So did Ashley for a few minutes. The girls fought like cats all morning pinching each other so I decide that they would have rest time, today. Well since they woke up from rest time they have been really, really good. I need to remember this afternoon night because they have been so good. They all three played well tonight. They played dress up, and rode their cars and just were nice to each other. Even all three of them ate dinner. It was a good night for the girls. They rewarded with marbles!!

Snow day FUN.

This is Ashley "dolled up" getting ready to go see her cousins. Michael showed her pictures of the joker, she was upset that Michael said they looked a like. Ashley's ballet class is doing clowns I wonder if Mrs. Howell would like this look?
Here is glitter lip gloss dripping off Ashley's nose. She is soooo CRAZY.
Here is another run in with a different lip gloss. She had already started to clean it off.

I bought a $ 5 movie at Target for the girls to watch while Chloe napped. Michael and I could have some quite time too. The girls watched the movie and played make up. These are beauty tips from Ashley.

Later that afternoon we went to grandma's to eat pizza with the cousins, we stayed out way too late because Emily was extra crankie that night. But hey we got the call again no school. So we partied late...tell 7:30. Hey remember my kids are in bed at 7pm most nights.

Enjoying the snow...

four 20 minutes.

It snowed Wednesday, the kids got let out early from school. But the snow came out of no where it was fast, quick and hard. So we all knew there would be no school Thursday. Michael worked really late that night which worked out well because it took him a little over an hour to get home. Most people who left at "rush hour," got home in 3-5 hours.

We played that morning in the snow, Chloe enjoyed it the most. She did not want to come back inside. Michael had to drag her back inside. It was nice that Michael did not have to work yesterday. We enjoyed the snow day.

I had to share it is too funny.

Why having a toddler is like being at a frat party:

1. There are half-full, brightly-colored plastic cups on the floor in every
room. Three are in the bathtub.

2. There's always that one girl, bawling her eyes out in a corner. (lately its Emily.)

3. It's best not to assume that the person closest to you has any control over
their digestive function. (that would be Ashley she is gassy)

4. You sneak off to the bathroom knowing that as soon as you sit down, someone's
going to start banging on the door. (all three, Chloe is the worst right now at that)

5. Probably 80% of the stains on the furniture contain DNA. (um, yes and so gross.)

6. You've got someone in your face at 3 a.m. looking for a drink.
(we are past that for the most part, but so true.)

7. There's definitely going to be a fight. (I think one is happening right now.)

8. You're not sure whether anything you're doing is right, you just hope it
won't get you arrested. (so true.)

9. There are crumpled-up underpants everywhere. (um, has this person been in my house?)

10. You wake up wondering exactly how and when the person in bed with you got
there.
(Michael ask this question most morning.)

See never joined a sority house and now I live in one. Just everyone is under age.
