The Zoo...minus one

So another first Friday morning Nana by herself dropped Emily off at the bus and off we went to the Zoo with out Emily. Emily knew this one was coming and she was okay with it. It has been a hot summer and Emily did not want to walk at the hot Zoo. A new exhibit opened on that Friday the Flamingos, might I add Chloe LOVED them. Chloe's nick name is Birdie and she loved the San Diego native Flamingos.

Cousin Jamie and her daughter "baby Hailey" as the girls call her came with us. We always love having cousin Jamie and Hailey join us. Note Hailey is older then Chloe by almost a whole month but most people don't notice and Chloe out weighs Hailey by far!!! Kind of a sad picture no Emily I can't believe this is how life is going to be now.

So as we were heading out of the Zoo I got a call from a number I did not recognize and I did not answer. But I checked the message right away and it was the school nurse!!! Emily fell down and scraped her elbow at school and they had to call and tell me. She was bleeding and got cleaned up and a band aid. The teacher said she did great and was fine, Emily says she was crying for me. Maybe on the inside she was. I felt helpless for a minute I was so far away thank God it was nothing serious after I was done listening to the message I was a little annoyed they called just for a scraped elbow.

Another first

We have so many first happening these past few weeks. So here it is Ashley's first time in a port-a-potty. And with Ashley's famous words "this is so disgusting." At soccer practice I have to say since it was first week of practice it was pretty clean and did not yet smell.

Soccer practice

A quick note: After Emily's first ballet practice we zoomed to the airport to pick up my mom, Nana. We always love Nana coming and spending time with us. So to pick up Thursday was Emily's first full day of school, which Nana got to be a part of and Emily took the bus.

Emily deiced since Ashley and Chloe got to spend all day with Nana that Emily and Nana would go get their nails done while I took Ashley and Chloe to soccer practice. Can I mention we went shopping not very exciting since we went to the Green Hills mall which way to pricey for me now. Ashley was super excited to go to her first soccer practice. Hazel and Ashley are on the same team they have a love hate relation ship that is too funny. For the most part I think really love each other they just both a little jealous. Another little girl on the team is Ali that is Ashley's friend Blake' neighbor. The other team members all go to our church at Thompson Station which is nice. I think the other kids names are Will, Maddox, Coach Jesse, Hazel, Ali, Daxton and Garrett.

Ashley kicked the ball and was so proud of her self she had to run over and give me a high 5. This makes me laugh because this is what Emily use to do. Ashley is so proud of herself.

Ashley and her team mates getting ready to kick the ball. All I can say is I LOVE soccer it is a lot of fun to watch the kids enjoy it. I am loving being a SOCCER MOM!!!

Emilys dance class...

I am a bit out of order on some post but it is alright I think. This is at the end of dance class. This Emily, her teachers and class mates all hugging. Emily knows one girl in her Combo I class Joslynn. Emily really likes the tap dance part of class. Emily went to fairy camp and princess camp at TDAC this past summer really liked it and had the same teachers.
It is hard to see this picture but it was so funny. Chloe really liked the tap dancing she kept sticking her head in the room making ooooh faces. Joslynn's mom Earca is holding her we were cracking up.

There is Emily doing her tap dancing look how grown up she looks.

Emily and other classmates listening to the teacher.

Emily's first day on the bus, we all walked her down to the bus Nana was here too. It was a family event. The bus driver could sense we were crazy because he let Emily get up again and wave goodbye. No tears I am truly happy, excited and proud of Emily. I am ready for this journey called school to start.
The whole family, even the dog. The whole family enjoys dropping Emily off at the bus, it is a good way to start today. We get to squeeze in some extra family time. Even though Emily is already getting embarrassed of all of us. It is out of love Emily I promise.

Emily is already to go on the bus for the first day. A disclaimer about the outfit. It was a PE day so I wanted Emily to be comfortable in what she was wearing we are not always going for style. Although I must say Emily would disagree. Tuesday and Thursday is PE I tell her she has to wear shorts and tennis shoes other days dress are fine. I gotta have some rules!! Emily I could tell you over and over how proud daddy and I are of you. You are getting to be such a big little girl.

Mores first well I guess a last

Emily has to bring a nap mat for rest time and working in her cubicle. I know getting them ready for the real world. My dreams for you Emily is that you would not get stuck in a cubicle unless it is doing work you love. I am not hating on the cubicle I worked in one for a few years myself.

Emily waiting for the doors at school to open. We are in the car drop off line. Witch might I add is CRAZY. This is why I said a last. Michael and I have decided that Emily will be riding the bus. These parents picking their kids up are crazy. I promise the school will not keep your child they will give them back. Please wait your turn. Anyway this was Emily last half day and my last time in the car drop off line unless we are late for the bus. thank you Jesus. Thank you again because she LOVES the bus.

Creative Movement or Ballet.

Ashley knows three girls in her class at ballet "little Savanah," we call her this so Ashley does not think of the neighbor Savannah notice name spelling is different too. Addison who is a new girl that I just met but Ashley and her are in the same class at church. They saw each other at Target the other day it was kind of strange I already don't know all of my daughters friends. Ella last but not least. Ella is a girl that lives one house down that Emily and Ashley just love. It is crazy to think that Ella use to hold Ashley when she was first born. Ella was baby crazy for Ashley!!

Here is a picture of Ashley and Ella together. Ella is a older then Ashley she is 4 but is very tall for her age. She is almost as tall as Emily. Ella and Ashley share the same name Grace.

Ashley all ready for dance class. Did you notice in the other pictures that Ashley is wearing black and everyone else is wearing pink?? Well I did not read the rules right, or I guess I should say I read the rules to early and they changed this age groups dress code. 3-4 years old, yes I know Ashley is still 2 but she will be 3 soon. Sniff, sniff I can't believe it.
It was so precious at the end of dance class Ashley came out crying, I thought she was crying because she was one of the last to get out of the room these moms are crazy about getting THEIR kid first. But no she was crying because she did not want to LEAVE. Can you believe that? I think I was a little hurt. Ashley is in a hurry to grow up right now, since everything with Emily is changing so much. Please stay little for a bit longer. I love you my sometimes sweet Ashley Grace.
