I forgot...pictures of 1st day.

Emily in her class.

Emily washing her hands after doing a project with stamps. Ashley asking "what do I get to do?"

Emily going in to see her cubby and find the bathroom.

Emily's cubby.

Emily found her teacher, and getting our list of things to find. Mrs. Pantall. Emily and her both talked about being excited and having hard times sleeping the night before.

Ohh the weekend.

Ohh how I love the weekends and having Michael home. We planned that Michael was going to work on Saturday and Friday night he said it was canceled...YES!! We always "want" the money but me and the girls "NEED" Michael at home. I try and be very understanding about work its how we eat, live and survive. Plus I get to stay home, it is not always glamours but someone has to do it. We ran earns, got lunch enjoyed the day. Sunday too, went to church, had lunch book store and home to relax. Michael mowed the lawn on Sunday in the rain smoking a cigarette. (yes he still smokes, and no I do not know when he will quit.) The grass was so long I posted earlier in the weeks that you could not see Killer in the grass poor dog. Sad thing is it looks like it needs to be mowed again 3 days later. Ugh never can catch a break.

1st half day of school...Friday.

So the first day of school. Emily woke up in our bed don't ask why she I think woke up to early and excited and came and slept with us. I had to take a picture of her waking up the first day...of course. Emily and I had picked out her clothes the night before Michael and I bought this outfit thinking it would be her first day outfit, she loves long skirts to the floor and the shirt came with a matching necklace. How can you go wrong?? Even though it is a half day I had to pack Emily a lunch, her lunch is early at 10:45 but is good for her because if it was Emily's way she takes about 2 hrs. to eat breakfast so I know she is hungry at 10:45am. Emily, Ashley, Chloe and I walked Emily into school that first day. We had to wait in the gym with all the other kids, Emily lines up in the big "K" line. We walked with her to her class and she met her teacher. Mrs. Pantall is super nice and sweet as I said before. I have all of this in pictures that I will do in the next post. We got to do a scavenger hunt in the class with Emily to help her put her things away. Ashley kept saying "what do I get to do?" It was so sad, Ashley wants to be BIG like Emily too. Emily says she had a great day. No tears I held up pretty good if I must say I am excited for Emily to move on to this next stage of life. Will see how I feel on her first bus day!!

School days, school days ...

Good old fashion rule days!! Anyway Thursday night was "open house" for Emily's school. Michael and I got to go meet her teacher, Mrs. Pantall. I am so happy Emily has her!! Her husbands family own the local strawberry farm that we go pick at every late Spring. She is a very nice women who has a almost 2 year old daughter named Brooke. Emily only really knows one kid in her class and that is Levi the little boy who lives next door. There is a lot of history there but we are excited and one of the few parents who is not upset their kid is in a peanut free class.

I signed Emily up for a Friday start date, and her next day will be Wednesday with her first full day on Thursday when she can ride the bus if she would like.
Emily was so excited and tired on Thursday night because she had been hanging at the Hudgin house thank you Mrs. Dayna, Cole, Luke, Taylor and Mr. Brent for watching the girls. We had to give Emily a bath, wash her finger nails, yuck. And get her to sleep a big day in the morning. Emily asked me to cuddle with her, melt my heart. Of course I did but not for long because she needed her sleep. Here is a picture of Emily after she got out of the bath. Ohh and some pictures of Ashley she was not handling all the attention on Emily well. She had to be thrown into the tub with her clothes on, she is sooo like me when I was little I did not like to bathe either. I am thankful that she does NOT bite like I did. Sorry mom.

Playing catch up ...

Okay so I am playing catch up on Friday, now from the week. Tuesday Emily smashed her thumb in the car door in front of Publix. It was awful and it swelled up something awful. But she could use it she only really complained on the first day of it hurting. She told me as soon as it happened "Mommy call daddy tell him to come home right now." It was so sad I am posting a picture of it not good one to show it swelled but I am trying to have more pictures.

The next day no less is Emily's 5 year check up, with Kindergarten SHOTS! I know is it pick on Emily week? We got off lucky she only needed two shots and from what I can tell she is done until she is 11 years old. Emily was awful when it came to the shots my kids are usually so good about taking shots, Emily once got a FLU SHOT while a sleep and never woke up. The nurse said it is the age. I could not help but laugh I have never herd Emily scream like that. You would of thought we were chopping off her leg!! Anyway Emily is growing Ms. Kristen called her "a tall drink of water." Emily is 42 3/4 lbs. and 45 1/2" tall. 95% for height, I guess that is good. Emily enjoyed the mommy time we read books while waiting, Aunt Jenny was so nice to watch Chloe and Ashley for us. Besides the shots it was a nice hour and half of time together.

Emily and Ashley played make up this week that is rare for us, I have such mixed feelings about make up. I hate it!!! But the girls love playing with it, they have their own make up they are not aloud to play with mine!! Michael said once they can play it until they start doing it right, then will see for now they just look like clowns when they do make up. They are only aloud to do make up on this nasty white carpet that some one gave us. It is in the playroom.

We had a over all great week, Thursday we tried to go to the park but it rained like crazy on Wednesday night in to Thursday. So we went to the library with Aunt Jenny, Isreal, Caleb, Mrs. Nicole and Hazel. Also some new friends Mrs. Dori, Abbie and Hart. Afterwards Jenny and I took the kids to McDonalds and let them play.

Bitter Sweet

So this has been one of the longest weeks EVER!!! Poor Emily wakes up everyday "do I get to go to school today?" She is so ready to go, her cousin Isreal got to go to school on Tuesday and when Emily found out she was so mad she wanted to go to school too. The schedule for school here is so messed up. I hope she starts Friday. We have a meeting at school tonight to find out who her teacher is and what classroom. And to sign her up for a start date for Friday, Monday or Tuesday. With everyone going to school on Wednesday!! Ahhh Wednesday is going to be a very busy day for us half day of school, rest, ballet at 5:30 and pick my mom up at the airport at 6:50 sorry mom you might be hanging at the airport for a bit before we get there.

But bittersweet, I love the idea of Emily having more time at home but not so much time at home, its been a week since testing the 1st - 5th graders have already been in school for a week!! So Emily is growing up so fast and her and I are ready for this show to just get on the road already!!!

Sunday family FUN day!!

Sunday we went to church our pastor is back from a 4 week break. PT is all fired up about God and spreading the word and not being depressed because this is only for a short time that we will be here on Earth and then we will go to heaven and be with Jesus. Lately I have mentioned about being in a FUNK so this past Sundays sermon really spoke to me!! I love when that happens, even better when I know it speaks to me during and not find out hours later. When something comes suddenly, unexpectedly and violently as it did in November of last year. So we came home from church and had a relaxing Sunday. It started to rain but not lighting and Michael half joking said go play in the rain! I had forced the kids to do this last week so they were all over it. They had a lot of fun in the warm rain and after it stopped raining even Chloe joined in for some fun with the hose, chalk, pool toys and sisters. Michael had fun using are 75-300mm lens taking pictures. He was not really expecting the girls to really "play" in the rain but it was a good time. Please enjoy the pictures. I am blessed while on Earth to have a wonderful husband and three great kids. I admit it is sometimes hard for me to remember that they are great kids.
